Numerous GIS datasets can be acquired online from various organizations. Much of the data available from these organizations was compiled by the US Census Bureau, as part of the census efforts. The census-maintained Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (TIGER) system contains numerous data layers that are generally adequate for most analysis purposes. For your convenience, we have modified the most utilized TIGER data layers to match our GIS coordinate system and placed them online for your unrestricted use. Some GIS users will immediately recognize that they need a higher degree of data accuracy for their projects. While TIGER data is extremely valuable, it is not consistently accurate, and is only updated periodically. As generating
highly-accurate and time-sensitive GIS data layers is very time consuming,
expensive, and may include information that we don't want ill-intentioned
people to have access to, we have established a fee-based method for acquiring
Pueblo County's more accurate data layers. Please call or visit the Pueblo
County GIS Center to acquire this information and to arrange for payment
